The IRS is rolling out a Direct File pilot in 2024 – a FREE electronic filing option! But hold up, Small Biz Owners & Entrepreneurs! The IRS has declared that this one’s not for us. According to the IRS website:
The pilot is not an option for you if you:
- Have other types of income, such as gig economy or business income
- Itemize deductions
- Claim other credits like the Child and Dependent Care Credit, Saver’s Credit or the Premium Tax Credit
But, don’t worry. 😕 Remember, as savvy business owners, we want to maximize every tax advantage, right? This pilot doesn’t cover gig economy or business income, itemized deductions, or cool credits like the Child and Dependent Care Credit. 💡💸 So, while it’s great for some, we’ll stick to our strategic tax game!
